"Rascal the Raccoon" is being produced as a 50th anniversary project for Nippon Animation, the company behind "Rascal the Raccoon". The main cast will include Junya Enoki, Taku Yashiro, Kensho Ono, Yohei Azakami, and Kenjiro Tsuda. It will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and BS Nippon TV from April.
"Rascal the Raccoon" is based on the novel "Harukanaru My Rascal" by Sterling North. It was broadcast in 1977 as the third installment of the "World Masterpiece Theater" series.
