The teaser visual for the movie "Mieruko-chan" (directed by Nakamura Yoshihiro), starring actress Nanoka Hara, was recently released. The movie will be released on June 6th.
The movie is based on a horror comedy manga by Izumi Tomoki, which has sold over 3 million copies in Japan and was also made into a TV anime. One day, high school girl Yotsuya Miko (Hara) suddenly becomes able to see spirits, and chooses to "ignore" them. Terrified of the unknown of what will happen if the spirits realize she can see them, Miko continues to pretend to be calm and ignore them. However, when the shadow of a spirit creeps up on even her best friend, will Miko be able to continue ignoring the spirits? This is the story.
In addition to Hara, Rinka Kumada, Nae Nano, and Koki Yamashita Koki will also appear.
The teaser visual features Miko's expression of readiness, as if she is looking at something, and the catchphrase is "Can you ignore this fear?". A Teaser trailer was also released, depicting Miko's school life where she encounters spirits everywhere in her daily life and tries to pass them by pretending not to see them.
