A new visual of Ludo, the protagonist of the TV anime " Gachiakuta ," based on the battle action manga by Kei Urana Kei currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), has been released. Ludo is an orphaned boy who makes a living by picking up trash in heaven, and in the visual he is shown tightening his gloves, which are his precious "thing," and heading towards something with a determined look on his face. The line "I'm doing this for real" is also included. A short PV using Ludo's memorable line from the original work has also been released on YouTube.
An event for the series will be held at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on March 22nd. The cast members who will play the main characters Rudo, Engine, Zanka, and Ryo will be on stage. The cast will be announced before AnimeJapan 2025.
" Gachiakuta" is a manga by Urana and graphic design by Hideyoshi Ando. It began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in February 2022. Rudo, an orphan boy born in a slum where the descendants of criminals live, makes a living by using his extraordinary physical abilities, but one day he is framed for a crime he did not commit and is thrown into the "abyss" that even the people of the slums fear. It won the Global Special Award in the comics category of the "Next Manga Awards 2022".
The anime will be directed by Fumihiko Suganuma , who has participated in "SHIROBAKO" and "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" as director, with Hiroshi Seko , who has worked on " Jujutsu Kaisen" and "Attack on Titan The Final Season", as series composer, and Satoshi Ishino, who has worked on "Godzilla SP Singular Point", as character designer and chief animation director. It will be produced by Bones, who has worked on "Eureka Seven" and "My Hero Academia". It will be broadcast in 2025.
