It has been announced that the TV anime "Classic★Stars," based on the classical music-themed project "Classic★Birth," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 from April. A boy who has the "gifts" of great musicians transplanted into his body meets his friends, discovers the charm of music, and aims to win a contest.
Visuals of the mysterious band "Dis=Cord" Lost Beethoven, Lost Vivaldi, Lost Schumann, and music teacher Aio Miharagi were also released. Taku Yashiro will play Lost Beethoven, Takuya Sato will play Lost Vivaldi, Ayumu Murase will play Lost Schumann, and Daisuke Daisuke Namikawa will play Aio Miharagi. Yuma Uchida, who plays the main character Beethoven, will sing the opening theme "Singularist."
Yashiro commented, "I have a personal attachment to classical music, so I was really happy to be able to take part in this production. I hope everyone will look forward to seeing how the characters interact with each other, centered around the music that colors the work."
Sato said, "They are fantastical, aesthetic, poetic, eccentric and stimulating...I don't know how to describe them in a way that properly conveys them. I truly hope that everyone can see the work as soon as possible. Thank you very much."
Murase commented, "When I heard the songs for the audition, I was struck by how brilliant and cool they were. I never thought the day would come when I would be able to sing a song by Agematsu (Noryasu) and the rest of Elements Garden! I am very honored and more than anything, I am very happy. Not only the songs, but the wild antics of the three members of Dis=Cord add spice to the story, so I hope you will also support them!"
Namikawa said, "When you think of idol-related works, I'm sure the term is familiar. Classic★Stars is new and innovative in a sense, and in my personal opinion, it's high-level. I'm looking forward to the stimulation that will be brought to the world. I will be playing a teacher-like character who watches over everyone. It's a bit...no, quite an unusual character. I hope you enjoy the work."
The story is set in the music department of Gloria Academy, a private school where promising young people in the fields of music, art, sports, and all other entertainment fields gather. Those who match the "talents (potential)" of great musicians have "gifts" transplanted into their bodies and are called by the names of those musicians... After an injury, a young man named Beethoven is discovered to be compatible with the talents of great musicians, and while experiencing the charm of music, he meets friends who have inherited different gifts and aims to win a contest.
