The ninth episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Mirai Shida, aired on March 17th. The poignant confession by Yuta Matsuoka, a nursery school teacher played by Nozomu Kotaki (WEST.), became a hot topic on social media.

Yuta, who has feelings for Mirai (Shida), decides to confess his feelings. However, Mirai happily talks about Masao (Akihisa Shiono) in front of Yuta. Yuta realizes that Masao is a special person to Mirai.
Amidst all this, Yuta invited Mirai to a batting cage. On the way home, he poured out his feelings, saying, "There's something I couldn't tell you in middle school. I'll tell you properly today. I had a crush on you. I'll see you both again as your teacher, so please continue to be friends with me." Mirai nodded in agreement.
Then Yuta encouraged Mirai, saying, "I told you what I wanted to say. Mirai, you should also express your feelings without running away from them."
