It has been announced that Masatoshi Hamada of the comedy duo "Downtown" will be the headliner of the "Gobugobu Festival 2025" to be held on May 10th at the Momijigawa Grass Square in Expo Commemoration Park (Suita City, Osaka Prefecture), and that Hamada's eldest son, Hama Okamoto of the rock band "OKAMOTO'S", will also be performing. This will be the first time that father and son will perform together at a festival.
Hama-san suddenly appeared on "Gobugobu Radio" in January last year. He told his father, who was taking the festival lightly, "Don't take the festival lightly!" and emphasized the mindset that festival organizers should have.
The words that Hama-san spoke ignited a fire in Hamada, and the "Gobu Gobu Festival" was born, with life flowing in every direction.
Hama is scheduled to appear at the performance on May 10. Advance ticket sales have also started.
