The cast for season 1, "Episode of Heartslabyul," of the anime "Disney Twisted Wonderland The Animation," based on the popular smartphone game "Disney Twisted Wonderland," affectionately known as "Twisted," has been announced. The voice actors from the game, including Natsuki Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts, dorm leader of Heartslabyul, Yamashita Seiichiro as Ace Trappola, Chiaki Kobayashi as Deuce Spade, Ryota Suzuki as Trey Clover, and Kobayashi Tatsuyuki as Kate Diamond, will be continuing to play their roles.
It was also announced that, just like in the game, Miyamoto Mitsuru will play Dear Crowley, the principal of Night Raven College, and Noriaki Sugiyama will play the playful monster Grimm.
The first-ever animated cut was also shown. In the cut from the first episode, light shines into a dim space, revealing a fountain and a "dark mirror." Night Raven College students are assigned to one of the dormitories by the dark mirror according to their soul's qualities, but an unexpected student is led by the dark mirror to get lost in Night Raven College.
It was also announced that a stage event for the series will be held at the anime event "AnimeJapan 2025," to be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) from March 22 to 25. The event will be held from 6:30 pm on March 22, and will feature appearances by Hanae, Yamashita, Kobayashi, Sugiyama, and Miyamoto. Merchandise for the series will also be sold at the Disney Plus booth.
The anime will be produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, with Takahiro Natori as general director and Shin Katakai as director. In addition to season 1, season 2 "Episode of Savanaclaw" and season 3 "Episode of Octavinelle" will be produced based on the comic adaptation of the game. Season 1 will be exclusively distributed on Disney Plus from October.
"Twisted Wonderland" is set at the prestigious magician training school, Night Raven College, and features characters inspired by villains from Disney works, as well as seven dormitories inspired by the worlds of works such as "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Lion King. " Yana Toboso , known as the author of the popular manga " Black Butler ," which was also made into an anime, is in charge of the original concept, main scenario, and character design.
