The first episode of the new TV anime "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA," based on the manga "YAIBA" by Gosho Aoyama, who is known for " Detective Conan " and other works, has been completed, and it has been announced that the world's earliest screening, "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA Episode 1 Complete! In addition to the premiere of the first episode, there will also be a talk show with Director Takahiro Hasui, Character Designer and Chief Animation Director Yoshinori Kameda, Minami Takayama (voice of Yaiba Kurogane ), Manaka Iwami Iwami (voice of Sayaka Mine), and Yoshimasa Hosoya(voice of Takeshi Onimaru). "YAIBA" is a swordplay action manga that Aoyama serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, before the serialization of "Detective Conan" began. It depicts the exploits of Yaiba Kurogane, an unconventional young swordsman who trains in the jungle with his father. Yaiba returns to Japan by chance and strives to become even stronger in his new training ground... This is the story. A total of 24 volumes of the comic have been released, with a total circulation of about 17 million copies.
The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Aoyama, and will be fully animated after about 30 years since the series was completed. Following on from the TV anime "Yaiba: The Legend of Swordsman" which aired from 1993 to 1994, Takayama will play the main character Yaiba Kurogane. It will be produced by WIT STUDIO, known for "Attack on Titan" and "SPY×FAMILY". It will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm from April.
