Kiki's Delivery Service:"SPY×FAMILY" author draws flying Kiki and Jiji on special cover to commemorate 40th anniversary of publication

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the publication of Eiko Kadono's children's literature "Kiki's Delivery Service," the covers of all six volumes of the paperback edition (Fukuinkan Shoten) have been renewed and will be released one after another from February 3rd. The first volume of the paperback edition will come with a special cover drawn by manga artist Tatsuya Endo, known for the popular manga "SPY×FAMILY." Endo's illustration of the special cover, depicting Kiki and Jiji flying through the sky on broomsticks, has been released.

Kadono commented, "It's been 40 years since the first volume of Kiki's Delivery Service was released in 1985, and I am truly happy that it has been loved by so many people for so long. Along with Kiki, and oh, Jiji as well, I would like to express my deepest, deepest gratitude. Thank you! To celebrate the 40th anniversary, popular manga artist Tatsuya Endo has illustrated the cover of the paperback edition. Kiki flying through the night sky! Enjoy the energetic Kiki. "Kiki's Delivery Service" is a children's book written by Kadono and published in six volumes between 1985 and 2009. It depicts the growth of Kiki, a witch who leaves her parents at the age of 13, in accordance with witch customs. In 1989, it was made into an animated feature film by Studio Ghibli's Hayao Miyazaki, which became a huge hit. It has also been adapted into a stage play and a live-action film.
