Mr. Osomatsu:The fourth season of the TV anime will air in July. The first summer broadcast will feature the sextuplets in short sleeves!

It has been announced that the fourth season of the popular anime series "Mr. Osomatsu" will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks in July. All previous TV series have aired in October, but the fourth season will be the first to be broadcast in the summer. A super teaser visual for the fourth season has been released, showing the sextuplets wearing new short-sleeved outfits with a pine tree mark on the left chest and back. The super teaser PV has also been released on YouTube, showing roll call starting with the eldest son, in response to Osomatsu's call of "The Matsuno family!"

The fourth season will be directed by Yoshinori Odaka, who also directed the animated film "Mr. Osomatsu: The Hippipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit," which will be released in July 2022. This will be Kodaka's first time directing a TV series. Following on from the previous series, Hide Matsubara will be in charge of series composition and Eiji Yasuhiko will be in charge of character design.

Director Kodaka commented, "Mr. Osomatsu is also going for a fourth season! We will be doing a new Osomatsu Mr. Osomatsu after a full circle. I hope that we can all work together to create a production that will make viewers want to laugh, cry, and dance together with the welcome back Osomatsu and friends, and also meet them for the first time in the new world of Osomatsu."

Matsubara said, "I'm very happy that the date for delivering the series to everyone has finally been decided. This will be the first time that the series will start airing in July, so we're thinking of some summer-themed episodes. It'd be nice to keep things the same, but I hope you'll also get a taste of the slightly changed Mr. Osomatsu. It's the Year of the Snake. Please look forward to the new Mr. Osomatsu series, which will develop softly and supplely as it repeatedly sheds and regenerates."

Yasuhiko said, "Director Kodaka-san was a colleague of mine at the animation studio I used to work for, so I never imagined we would be teaming up for the fourth season! I feel like this is a truly mysterious connection. I hope you'll look forward to seeing what kind of changes this will bring."

"Mr. Osomatsu" is based on Fujio Akatsuka's comedy manga "Osomatsu-kun." It depicts the daily lives of the sextuplets as adults, and its extreme gags have made it popular among female anime fans. The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2015 to March 2016, the second season from October 2017 to March 2018, and the third season from October 2020 to March 2021. The movie version of "Osomatsu San Movie" was released in March 2019. The first new anime to commemorate the 6th anniversary, "Mr. Osomatsu: The Hippipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit," will be screened in theaters from July 2022, and the second, "Mr. Osomatsu: The Soulful Takoyaki Party and the Legendary Sleepover," will be screened in theaters from July 2023.
