Actor Sari Ito appeared at the rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(general and other channels) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 30th. Ito, who will be hosting Kouhaku for the first time, said with enthusiasm, "My heart feels like it's coming out of my mouth, but I had a lot of fun, so I'll keep it up and do my best tomorrow."
Ms. Ito played the heroine Torako in the Asadora drama "Torako to Tsubasa" which aired in the first half of this year. At the Kohaku, it was announced that the spin-off drama "Torako to Tsubasa Kohaku Special Edition" will be broadcast. She commented, using Torako's catchphrase, "It's very short, so I think you'll be left thinking 'Huh?' right away and it'll be over, but I hope everyone will enjoy it."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will serve as hosts.
