A toy of Mechagodzilla, which appeared in the 1974 film "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla," was released on December 28th as "DX Soul of Chogokin Mechagodzilla 1974" from Bandai Spirits' "DX Soul of Chogokin" series. Celebrating its 50th anniversary since its appearance, Mechagodzilla has been turned into a three-dimensional toy equipped with a gimmick that "lights up! sounds! roars!" The price is 39,600 yen.
The 27cm tall super alloy body is equipped with an LED and sound IC. The dorsal fin is the start switch, and when the power is turned on, both eyes light up and roar along with the appearance sound. The various functions of Mechagodzilla are expressed through sound and light, such as the space beam sound with both eyes emitting multi-color light, and the cross attack beam sound with the internal LED lighting up in conjunction with the chest hatch opening.
By replacing the head and tail, it can also transform into a flying form.
