Shingo Katori:WOWOW's 3-month consecutive special feature begins with 5 films starring him and the Arena Festival being broadcast and streamed in February next year

It has been revealed that five films starring Shingo Katori, including his first film appearance in "Hong Kong Night Club Touch & Maggy," will be broadcast and streamed all at once on WOWOW on February 15, 2025.

This is the first of a three-month consecutive feature on Katori starting in February, and on the same day, the show will also exclusively broadcast and stream the two-day performance of Katori's first arena festival, "Circus Funk Festival," held at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo).

The lineup of films and Arena Festivals to be broadcast and streamed on February 15th is as follows (all on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand).

11:00 AM - "Touch & Maggy" (1997). A suspense comedy starring Katori and Goro Kishitani. A Japanese cameraman and writer who came to Hong Kong to cover the underworld find their lives threatened after witnessing a drug deal.

1:00 PM - "NIN×NIN Ninja Hattori-kun THE MOVIE" (released in 2004). A live-action film starring Katori based on the popular manga by Fujiko Fujio A, which was also made into a TV anime. Ninja Hattori-kun comes to modern-day Edo (Tokyo) to train, and causes a big commotion.

2:50pm - "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo THE MOVIE ~Kachidokibashi wo Shusa Seyo~" (Released in 2011). This is the movie version of the TV drama based on the long-running popular manga by Osamu Akimoto, starring Katori. It depicts the reunion of the rogue police officer Ryo-san and his first love, as well as the outcome of a kidnapping case involving police executives.

4:50pm - "Nagimachi" (Released in 2019). Katori teams up with director Kazuya Shiraishi of "The Blood of Wolves" to create this masterpiece, a vivid portrayal of the rebirth of the protagonist's soul after he has suffered multiple failures in life due to his love of gambling.

7pm - "LOVE Masao-kun Goes!" (Released in 2012). A film adaptation of the true story of "Masao-kun", a Labrador who became popular in a segment on a pet TV show, and his partner, comedian Hideki Matsumoto. Starring Katori Shingo, it depicts the bond between man and dog.

9:00 PM = "Katori Shingo "Circus Funk" Festival". Katori, who released his third album "Circus Funk" digitally for the first time in about two years and seven months, will hold his first arena festival "Circus Funk Festival" at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium on December 3rd and 4th to showcase songs from the new album. We will deliver the two-day performance.

In March, the show will be titled "Katori Shingo Interview & Documentary "Circus Funk"," and will feature an in-depth documentary of the "Circus Funk Festival" and a newly filmed interview. In addition, the show will be titled "New Map & Katori Shingo in Kishidan Expo," and will feature footage of Katori and others performing at the popular music festival Kishidan Expo in September 2019 and September 2022.

In April, the show will be titled "Katori Shingo Sakura Blooms at the Historic Meijiza 20200101 Niwa Niwa Wai Wai Katori Shingo April Special Performance" and will broadcast and stream Katori's first solo stage performance at Meijiza in April 2021. In addition, the show will deliver "Katori Shingo 2022 April Special Performance Tokyo SNG," which was held at Meijiza again in April 2022, as well as the performance at Pia Arena MM (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) in July 2023 from the national tour "Black Rabbit."
