The 21st episode of the TV anime "MF Ghost," based on the "successor" to the popular manga "Initial D" by Shuichi Shigeno, "Rival," will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations late at night on December 1st. Kanata is visited by a young man, Moroboshi Sena, who is a prized student of the Dream Project's Keisuke Takahashi. Sena, who will be participating in the MFG from the next race, drives a Toyota GR Supra and declares himself a rival to Kanata before leaving. Kanata, who felt the need to further update the 86, entrusts Okuyama with turbocharging the power unit. Meanwhile, at a stand in Gunma, some familiar men are talking about Sena's participation in the race. "MF Ghost" began serialization in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha) in 2017. The story is set in Japan in the year 202X, when self-driving cars have become widespread. While road racing MFG is gaining popularity around the world, Kanata Rivington, a graduate of a racing school in the UK, returns to Japan to fulfill a certain goal. The anime will be directed by Tomohito Naka, known for the "New Theatrical Edition Initial D" series, and produced by Felix Film. Character design will be handled by Naoyuki Onda, known for "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash." The first season aired from October to December 2023. The second season is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other stations.
