It has been announced that actor Adachi Rika will star in the TV Tokyo drama series "My One Night Rule" (Tuesdays at 12:30am), which will begin airing on January 7, 2025. She will throw herself into the role of the protagonist, who is torn between her sexual desire and reason. This will be Adachi's first lead role in a drama since she announced her marriage to TATSU from the sign language performance group "HANDSIGN" in June last year.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Nakao Motoko, and is currently being serialized in "Ceymour Comics", an original brand of the digital comic distribution site "Comic Ceymour". The romantic comedy follows Narumi Aya (Adachi), a 33-year-old office worker who struggles with her sexual desire, as she creates her own "rules" to avoid regretting them, and then "practices" one-night stands.
Adachi commented, "After I received the offer, I read the original work, and there were many parts that I related to, like, 'I've felt that way before!' I empathized with Aya, and caught up with the latest chapter in no time. I hope to be able to share the frustration I felt back then with everyone who watches..."
"The series is still in the middle of serialization, so there are many difficult parts to act in, but I will do my best to create a work that many people can relate to, together with the worldview of the original author, Nakao Motoko, the producers, the director, and all the other staff members," she said enthusiastically.

The series will air on TV Tokyo and other channels from 12:30am to 1am on January 7, 2025. It will air on TV Osaka every Friday from 2am to 2:30am starting January 10. It will also be available on TVer, TV Tokyo and Lemino online.
