It has been announced that the second teaser trailer: SIDE Homura for the new theatrical version of the popular anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten will be released. The trailer is a re-edited version of the second teaser trailer released in September, with new scenes and narration added. It will be screened after the main film at the revival screening of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Part 3 - Rebellion, which will begin on October 25th.

It was also announced that as a bonus for attendees of the revival screening, they will be given special B6-sized illustration cards (2 types in total) featuring either Kaname Madoka or Akemi Homura.

The new theatrical version will be the legitimate sequel to Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Part 3 - Rebellion, which was released in 2013. The staff, including general director Akiyuki Shinbo and screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, will reunite. The film is scheduled to be released in winter 2025.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is an original anime series that depicts magical girls who are burdened with a cruel destiny. It was broadcast as a TV anime in 2011. It was directed by Shinbo and produced by Shaft. A star-studded staff was assembled, including Ume Aoki as the character designer, Urobuchi as the screenwriter, and Yuki Kajiura as the composer. Although the visuals are warm and fuzzy, the profound world setting and dramatic developments made it popular.

The film versions, "Part 1: The Beginning" and "Part 2: The Eternal Story," which were re-edited versions of the TV series, were released in 2012. The completely new film, "Part 3: Rebellion," released in 2013, was the first late-night anime film to exceed 2 billion yen in box office revenue. The first season of the TV anime "Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story," based on a smartphone game, aired from January to March 2020, the second season from August to September 2021, and the "Final SEASON" in April 2022.
