The synopsis of the first episode (15 minutes extended for the first episode) of the drama series "Monster" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring actor Shuri, to be aired on October 14th, has been released.

In the first episode, Kannami Ryoko (Shuri) suddenly appears at the "Okusa Keiko Law Firm" where Okusa Keiko (YOU) is the director, and says, "I've decided to try being a lawyer." While young lawyer Sugiura Yoshihiro (Jesse of SixTONES), who graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law, is unable to hide his confusion at Ryoko, who has nothing of a lawyer's appearance and whose identity is unknown, but simply shows off her lawyer's badge, Okusa seems to have known that Ryoko would be coming and readily accepts her.

Furthermore, Ryoko volunteers to defend Shioya Ryo (Hagiwara Riku), who has been charged with instigating suicide, a case that Sugiura had intended to refuse. Ryo sent a message to his girlfriend, Kawano Sae (Fujiyoshi Natsurin), telling her to "die" even though he knew that she had attempted suicide in the past. Moreover, Sae was so mentally ill that she was regularly visiting counselor Umemoto Masumi (Minami). Since there are few precedents for instigating suicide, Sugiura advises that it is not possible for a newbie to do so, but instead, Okusa orders him to support Ryoko.

When he meets with her, Shioya, who looks completely haggard, apologizes to Sae for her suicide, saying that he never wished for her death, but rather that he wanted to die himself. In fact, the conversation between the two just before her death began with Shioya's message that he wanted to "disappear."

Ryoko goes to Sae's superiors and Sae's parents' house to talk to them, but of course they are not going to listen to Ryoko, who is the defendant's lawyer, and Ryoko, who is stuck in a corner, takes an unexpected action... and so the story unfolds.

"Monster" is a unique legal entertainment story in which Shuri, in her first lead role in a primetime drama series, plays the mysterious monster lawyer Kannami Ryoko, who is not bound by "common sense" and faces her opponents by "eliminating emotions", facing various problems unique to the Reiwa era where the law sometimes does not keep up, and facing court battles as if it were a game. The script is written by Hashibe Atsuko, who wrote the "Boku Series trilogy" including "Boku no Ikiru Michi" (Kantele/Fuji TV). Also appearing in the series are Uno Shohei, Otozuki Kei, Nakagawa Tsubasa, and Furuta Arata.
