TV presenter and actress Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, who turned 91 in August this year, will appear on the TV Asahi variety show "Failure Teacher: Don't Be Like Me!!" (excluding some regions), which will be broadcast from 11:15 pm on September 20th.
The show features "failure teachers" who have made big mistakes in the past, sharing their experiences and imparting life lessons. This day is a special edition, and Kuroyanagi, a super legend with 70 years of entertainment experience, will appear for the first time as "Totto-chan Teacher on the Brink, who was actually pushed to the brink by a series of mistakes." In the episode, entitled "Tetsuko's Failure Room," she will confess her little-known "three biggest mistakes in life."
Kuroyanagi has been active since the dawn of television as the first exclusive NHK TV actress, and is the presenter of the popular long-running show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year. Although she has the image of being a hard worker at the front line, she confesses that during her time at NHK, she was fired from various locations and had a lot of trouble with her workplace relationships. When Kuroyanagi talks about the actions she took out of frustration after being scolded by the director on the set of a drama, the studio erupts in laughter.
