A new promotional video for the TV anime "Blue Miblo," based on a manga about the Shinsengumi by Takeshi Yasuda, known for the soccer manga "DAYS," has been released on YouTube. The video features the tagline "The start of a life-risking youth," and shows the Shinsengumi in action. The promotional video also features the chorus of the opening theme "Blue" by rock band SPYAIR.

A new visual was also released, depicting the main character, Nono, sweating and earnestly swinging a wooden sword. The visual will also be released at the Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair (KyotoMaf) 2024, an event to be held at Miyako Messe (Kyoto City Industrial Promotion Hall) and other venues in Kyoto on September 21 and 22.

Blue Miblo has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, the story depicts the way of life of the Shinsengumi. The story is about Chirinunio, an honest, kind and family-oriented boy who, deep down, burns with justice, and his encounter with Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji of the Mibu-Rai, a hated group of ronin.

The anime will be directed by Habara Kumiko, known for "I'm Standing on a Million Lives," and produced by MAHO FILM. It will air on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm from October 19th.
