Rhetoric to unravel lies：Sayaka Isoyama to appear, along with Tetta Sugimoto and Junko Sakurai

The poster visual for Fuji TV's Monday 9pm drama "Usokai Rhetoric" (Mondays 9pm), starring actors Suzuka Hiroshi and Matsumoto Honoka, has been completed. Also announced are the appearances of Sugimoto Tetta and Isoyama Sayaka.

The drama is a retro-modern backstreet detective action drama in which the unusual duo of Iwai Souma (Suzuka), a poor detective who is covered in debt and has an extremely sharp observational eye, and Urabe Kanoko (Matsumoto), a person with a strange ability to tell lies apart, solve difficult cases where "lies" and "truth" are mixed. The original is a manga of the same name by Tsudo Ritsu, which was serialized in "Bessatsu Hana to Yume" (Hakusensha) from 2012 to 2018, and is a popular work with a total of 1 million copies in circulation.

The completed poster visual focuses on Souma's "mouth" and Kanoko's "ears", expressing the unique buddy feeling of this unusual duo. The set, art, and costumes are all carefully crafted to fit the time period set in the early Showa era. Sawa and Uma's suits are custom-made, and when combined with Kanoko's traditional Japanese clothing, they create a retro atmosphere unique to the era where Japanese and Western influences coexist. The title logo and colors have been given a modern twist, expressing a worldview that is both nostalgic and new.

Sugimoto plays Fujishima Yukihiro, the head of the Fujishima family, who owns a luxurious mansion, and Isoyama plays Kurata Yoshie, the proprietress of the small restaurant "Kurata." Okura Koji plays Kurata Tatsuzo, the owner of "Kurata," Shibuya Soraji plays Kurata Taro, the only son of the Kurata family, Konno Hiroki plays Rokuhei, the owner of the greengrocer "Yao-Roku," Sakurai Atsuko plays Fujishima Yukino, the wife of the Fujishima family, and Miyazaki Akito plays Koichi, the driver for the Fujishima family.

The drama "Usokai Rhetoric" will begin airing on October 7th. It will be broadcast every Monday from 9:00 pm to 9:54 pm, with the first episode being extended by 15 minutes.
