The girl I fell in love with in Okinawa speaks in ：Okinawa-born voice actors Shimoji Shino, Nakamura Shugo, and Kumagai Kentaro to appear in TV anime

Additional cast members have been announced for the TV anime series "Okinawa: The Girl I Fell in Love With Speaks in Such a Dialect It's Too Hard to Understand (Okitsura)," based on the manga by Sora Egumi currently being serialized on Shinchosha's manga site "Kurage Bunch." It has been revealed that Shimoji Murasakino will play Agena Yae, Nakamura Shugo will play Uemata Tensuke, and Kumagai Kentaro will play Shimoji Isao. The anime is set in Okinawa, and Shimoji, Nakamura, and Kumagai, all of whom are Okinawa natives, will appear. Key visuals of Nakamura Teruaki (Teru), Kiyan Hiina, and Higa Kana holding zenzai and tempura have also been released.

Shimoji commented, "Did you all read it? Agena is pronounced "agena." What is normal in Okinawa is not normal once you leave the island. There are many things like that in Okinawa, and all of them are very endearing. This work depicts such Okinawan things in a fun way. The recording studio was like an Okinawa Prefectural Association. I will do my best to bring the Okinawan wind to everyone!"

Nakamura said, "Okitsura is filled with Okinawan local jokes, and as an Okinawan, I struggled to contain my laughter during each recording! If you watch this work, you will become an Okinawa master too! Thank you!"

Kumagai commented, "I was originally a reader of this work, and I never thought I would be involved in the anime! Thank you! I am very happy! A project has also started on the series' official Twitter account where Kito Akari, who plays Hiyan Hina, and Higa Kana, who plays Kana, will introduce the island's dialect, Shimakutuba.

The series is a romantic comedy manga set in Okinawa, which began serialization in Kurage Bunch in 2020. The comedy revolves around three characters: the protagonist Nakamura Teruaki, who transfers to Okinawa, Hiyan Hina, who speaks the Okinawan dialect Uchinaaguchi, and Higa Kana, who helps Teruaki by translating Uchinaaguchi. It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, BS11, Okinawa Television, Ryukyu Broadcasting, Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting, and others from January 2025. This will be the first time that a TV anime will be broadcast on the three Okinawa Prefecture commercial broadcasting stations, Okinawa Television, Ryukyu Broadcasting, and Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting.
