It has been announced that the manga "Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku" currently being serialized on Kodansha's web manga app "Magazine Pocket (Magapoke)" will be made into a TV anime in 2025. The heartwarming and "pure and cute" youth school story will be produced by CloverWorks. A promotional video was also released featuring the main character Tsumugi Rintaro, who attends a low-ranking boys' school, and Waguri Kaoruko, who attends a rich girls' school.

The announcement was made at the online event "Aniplex Online Fest 2024" held on September 16th. The original author, Mikami Saka, commented, "Thanks to everyone involved in the production and promotion of the original work, and to all the readers who have picked up the book, we have been able to make an anime version of "Kaoru Hana". Thank you so much! CloverWorks has kept the atmosphere of the original work intact. They have made it with care, and I am full of gratitude. I can't wait until the day when I can watch the story woven by Rintaro and Kaoruko on TV!"

The work is a youth school story about the protagonist Tsumugi Rintaro, who attends a low-ranking boys' school, and Waguri Kaoruko, who attends a rich girls' school, who are "close yet distant." The comic has sold over 3.3 million copies in total.
