Takahiro Amakura's detective chart：TV anime to start in January 2025 with Sakura Ayane as the genius doctor

It has been announced that the TV anime "Amakura Takao's Detective Chart," based on a popular medical mystery novel, will begin airing in January 2025. The main cast has also been announced, with Sakura Ayane playing the genius doctor Amakura Takao, Ono Kensho playing Takanashi Yu, Iwami Manaka playing Konoike Mai, Mizuki Nana playing Amakura Manazuru, and Tachiki Fumihiko playing Amakura Taiwashi. Key visuals featuring Amakura Takao and others and the first PV were also released. The announcement was made at the online event "Aniplex Online Fest 2024" held on September 16th.

The popular work is based on a novel by best-selling author and practicing physician Chinen Mikito, with illustrations by illustrator Ito Noizi, known for "Shakugan no Shana" and "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya." Set in the General Diagnostics Department of Teniikai General Hospital, where patients who are difficult for other doctors to treat are gathered, genius doctor Amakura Takao solves various mysteries, such as murders of unknown causes. The series has sold over 3 million copies in total.

Sakura commented, "I was previously recommended this work by a fan and read it, but I never thought that the medical mystery genre would be made into an anime, and I never dreamed that I would be the voice of Takao. I am very interested in the world of Amakura depicted in animation. There are also some gimmicks that are unique to anime, and while I was racking my brains over the technical terms during recording, it was difficult but fun to play Takao. Dr. Chinen, Dr. Noizi, and the passionate staff and cast are steadily progressing with the production, so please look forward to it."
