To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the release of the film, the film will be revived at 102 cinemas nationwide from September 20th. The screening will be limited to one week. The film was directed by Mamoru Oshii and written by Kazunori Ito, and was released in 1989. Set in a near-future Tokyo, it depicts computer crime, the dangers and possibilities of cutting-edge technology, and the dark and light of Japan.
