The new cast of the NHK Taiga drama "To You, Shining" (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring Yoshitaka Yuriko, was announced on the drama's official X (formerly Twitter), and it was revealed that Kurazawa Anna will play Fujiwara Kenko. This is Kurazawa's first appearance in a Taiga drama.

Kurazawa is 19 years old, born on March 18th, 2005. She attracted attention for her role as a high school girl with twin tails in "VR Ojisan no Hatsukoi", which aired in NHK's "Yorudora" slot (General TV, Monday to Thursday 10:45am) from April to May.

The character she plays in "To You, Shining" is the second daughter of Fujiwara no Michinaga and his legitimate wife, Michiko. She becomes the wife of the Crown Prince, Prince Itsada (later Emperor Sanjo), but is dissatisfied with the fact that the Crown Prince is much older than her. She likes sparkly, extravagant costumes and props.

Kurazawa said of Kenji, "She's a flashy, free-spirited character. She seems to be strong and happy, but in fact, she lives with a great sense of loneliness and dissatisfaction. Her father, Fujiwara no Michinaga, led the Fujiwara family to prosperity during the so-called heyday of the Fujiwara family, and I think she embodies the suffering behind that. Her humane appearance of feeling lonely and trying to fill that void with something makes you realize that human hearts don't change in any era."

"Hikaru Kimi e" is the 63rd taiga drama. Set in the aristocratic society of the mid-Heian period, the protagonist is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji," said to be the oldest novel written by a woman in the world. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who is writing her second taiga drama since "Koumyou ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote, and loved with all her heart.
