The synopsis of the third episode of the drama series "Monster" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring actor Shuri, to be aired on October 28th, has been released.
In the third episode, Gojo Kazuhiko (Shibuya Kento), the heir to one of Japan's leading companies, the Gojo Group, comes to Ryoko (Shuri) with his wife Asami (Satsukawa Manami). As Kazuhiko has azoospermia, the couple anonymously make a deal with "Kenta", a fellow Tokyo University graduate, and conceives a sperm donor. However, the man's background is completely false, and another woman who received the sperm donor has filed a lawsuit.
Kazuhiko does not want the public, or even his family, to know about his azoospermia or the fact that he donated the sperm, so he asks Ryoko to defend the man and settle the matter amicably so that the incident does not become too big and his information does not come out. However, because it was an easy job, Ryoko left the case to Sugiura (Jesse from SixTONES). Sugiura immediately met with Saito Fumiya (Sato Kanta), who called himself "Kenta," and asked him to try to settle the matter, but Saito refused.
The plaintiff, Nagaoka Mayu (Yoshimoto Miyu), said she had noticed that Saito had lied about his background, and although there was no evidence, Saito insisted that she did not want to settle the matter. Ryoko also felt something was off about Mayu's behavior, and when she asked Jono (Nakagawa Tsubasa) to investigate, Mayu's surprising true nature was revealed.
Meanwhile, Asami was forced to have an abortion due to Kazuhiko's selfish decision. In fact, for some reason, she really wanted to give birth to the life that was growing in her womb. Naturally, Kazuhiko is not going to let that happen, and Asami, having made up her mind, confesses the secret she has been hiding to her husband and Ryoko... and so the story unfolds.
Shibuya, who plays Kazuhiko, his wife, and Satsukawa, who plays Asami, are the same age, and commented, "My wife was my classmate and trustworthy Satsun (Satsukawa), so I was able to play her in a free and selfish way, just like Gojo." Sato and Yoshimoto are also the same age, and Sato commented, "This is the second time we've worked together, and I'm really glad we were able to work together. The court scene was wonderful."
"Monster" is a unique legal entertainment story about the mysterious monster lawyer Kannami Ryoko, played by Shuri, who is in her first lead role in a primetime drama series, who is not bound by "common sense" and faces her opponents by "eliminating emotions," and who faces various problems unique to the Reiwa era, where the law sometimes does not keep up, and takes on court battles as if it were a game. The script will be written by Atsuko Hashibe, who wrote the "Boku Series trilogy" including "My Way of Life" (Kantele/Fuji TV).
