The TV anime adaptation of the popular RPG series "Suikoden" (Konami Digital Entertainment), titled "Suikoden," will begin airing in October on 32 stations nationwide, including TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS Asahi. The first episode will be a 60-minute extended special. Prior to the TV broadcast, episodes 1-3 will be screened in theaters starting August 21st.
It was announced that Hitoshi Yamanoi will voice Agares Bright, Miyuki Sawashiro Sawashiro will voice Annabelle, and Koudai Sakai will voice Jess, and that the band "amazarashi" will be in charge of the opening theme song, "Kanashimi sae Otonabite" (Even Sadness Becomes Adult).
The "Suikoden" series is a fantasy RPG based on the "Water Margin" (Suikoden), with the first game released in 1995. Each game features a different setting and characters. The anime is directed by Yuzo Sato, known for works such as "Exception," and produced by KONAMI animation, which also worked on "Suikoden II Animation Music Video."
