The cast for the Onikoku Squad, who will appear in the second season of the TV anime "Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise," based on the popular manga by Yuuki Urushihara serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), has been announced. It has been revealed that Gakuto Kajiwara will play the general, Hayate Todoroki. The Onikuni Squad is a group of demons not affiliated with the Oni Organization, and their belief is in the complete elimination of Momo. Visuals of the Onikuni Squad, consisting of eight members led by their leader Todoroki Hayate, showing their sharp gazes, have also been released.
"Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise" is a manga series that has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" since 2020. Based on the fairy tale "Momotaro," it depicts a conflict between those who have the blood of demons and those who have the blood of Momotaro. It has sold over 6 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime, consisting of the "Kyoto Arc" and the "Nerima Arc," aired on Nippon Television's anime block "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni)" from July to December 2025. The second season will air in the same block starting in October.
