NHK's Asadora drama series "Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka , will be looking back at its 11th week, "Nagi ni Soyogu" (June 8-12), on June 13th.
" Kaze,Kaoru" is the 114th morning Asadora. Based on the story of two trained nurses, Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki, who graduated from the same nursing school, the drama depicts how the two grow through their struggles and clashes with each other in how to interact with patients and doctors, and eventually become the "ultimate buddy" team. Mikami plays the main character, Rin Ichinose, and Uesaka plays the other main character, Naomi Oya.
In week 11, Naomi (Uesaka) takes good care of Yuunagi (Setsu, played by Honoka Murakami), a prostitute. Meanwhile, Rin (Mikami) visits the newspaper that published an article about the anti-prostitution movement to seek advice. Then, one day, an article about a prostitute's double suicide is published in the newspaper.
The article was written by Shimaken (Masaya Sano), and it received a great response, with many encouraging gifts arriving at Setsu's hospital room. Furthermore, Setsu no longer had to return to the shop.
Eventually, Setsu recovered and was discharged from the hospital, finally free. In front of Rin and Naomi, she said, "First of all... I'm going to wander around as I please. This will be the first time I walk the streets of Tokyo as Setsu," and then she left.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, plans to establish a new nursing department were underway. The hospital director, Tada (Michitaka Tsutsui), informed Burns (Emma Howard) that the hospital would no longer accept trainees from the Umeoka Nursing School, and this was a done deal. Consequently, the school was to be closed due to the uncertain future...and so the story unfolded.
