The synopsis and still images for the final episode of the TV Asahi drama series "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, have been released. The final episode will air on Getsuku.
The "fateful day" approaches when Mitsunori Neo (Takahashi) is pushed off a cliff by someone and reincarnated as Hideto Nomoto (Takahashi in a dual role). Living as Hideto, Mitsunori uses "memories of the future" to prevent the tragedy in which Sarasa's (Nakamura Anne) father, Kinpei (Yanagisawa Shingo), takes his own life.
However, the land acquisition plan for Akari Shopping Street by NEOXIS, led by Neo, who lives in this era, continues. They also obstruct any way the shopping street could survive elsewhere. Hideto's father, Eiji (Fumiyo Kohinata), decides to accept the relocation of Akari Shopping Street.
Having acquired the land in the shopping district and successfully taken over the bank, Kosei finds himself increasingly isolated. Meanwhile, Tomono (played by Ouji Suzuka), who left NEOXIS to start a humanitarian aid company, visits the current Kosei to request his cooperation in disaster relief. Tomono wanted to believe in Kosei, who had the philosophy of "FOR THE PEOPLE," but his hopes are dashed.
February 17, 2026, the "fateful day" when Mitsumasa, before his reincarnation, fell down the stairs of the shrine. Mitsumasa, now reincarnated as Eito, hears from Eri (Mayu Yokota) that Tomono is missing and rushes to the shrine. Was Tomono the one who killed Mitsumasa? And on this fateful day, Mitsumasa inside Eito and Mitsumasa living in this era finally confront each other for the first time. The whole truth will finally be revealed.
The drama tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. The script is written by Hiroshi Hashimoto, who has also written dramas such as "The Grand Family" (TBS), "Job Hunting Family: It'll Surely Work Out," "Adult High School," and "Sky Castle" (all on TV Asahi).
