Yasuyuki Okamura and Kento Nakajima, who are performing the opening theme song "Shunpatsu-teki ni Koi Shiyou" for the TV anime "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!", based on Harunori's "classic BL comedy" manga, will appear on the popular YouTube channel "THE FIRST TAKE," where artists perform in a single take. This will be the first time they have collaborated on singing "Shunpatsu-teki ni Koi Shiyou" in the media. The performance will premiere on YouTube on June 3rd at 10 PM.
Okamura commented, "I was told that 'THE FIRST TAKE' is a one-take shoot, that they don't let you do it multiple times, and that 'even if you mess up the lyrics, that's fine,' but I thought that with my own power I could somehow manage it, and that's how I got to where I am today, but that wasn't possible. It really was a one-take shoot. But I'm glad I was able to do it under such pressure, and I think that pressure comes through in the video, so I hope many people will watch it."
Nakajima said, "I had the opportunity to sing the wonderful song 'Shunpatsu-teki ni Koi Shiyou' (Let's Fall in Love Instantly) as the opening theme for the anime 'Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!' together with Okamura-san. When I first heard this song, I instantly fell in love with it. So, I hope that everyone will also instantly fall in love with the wonderful world of this one-take recording on 'THE FIRST TAKE.' Please enjoy it!"
"Go for it, Nakamura-kun!!" is a popular manga series that depicts the fantasies and reckless actions of Nakamura Otoko, a shy high school boy, as he experiences unrequited love for his classmate, Hirose Aiki, in a style reminiscent of the 1980s and 90s. The manga is published by Heroes.
The anime is directed by Aoi Umeki, who also handles the script and character design. Drive is producing it. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Okuto Nakamura, and Yuki Sakakibara voices Aki Hirose. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
