Episode 8, "The Demon Police's Suspicion," of the TV anime "Atelier of Witch Hat," based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama, will air on TOKYO MX and other channels starting May 25th.
Coco and Agate successfully rescued Kustas from a landslide, but Coco's magic was far more powerful than expected, turning the surrounding area into sand. When Easheath of the Magic Police arrived on the scene, he determined that forbidden magic had been used, and he apprehended the two and attempted to erase Coco's memory. Riche and Tetia saved them at the last moment. Afterwards, Kieffrey arrived and averted disaster, but Kieffrey realized that the magic ink Coco had used was the cause.
"Atelier of Witch Hat" tells the story of Coco, a girl from a small village who longed to be a wizard but had given up on her dream. One day, she witnesses a wizard named Kieffrey using magic when he visits her village, and learns a big secret... The manga began serialization in "Monthly Morning Two" (Kodansha) in 2016, and the cumulative circulation of the comic books exceeds 7.5 million copies. The anime is directed by Ayumu Watanabe, known for "Children of the Sea" and "Nikuko-chan of the Fishing Port," and produced by BUG FILMS, known for "Zom 100: 100 Things I Want to Do Before I Become a Zombie" and "Summer Time Rendering."
