The second teaser trailer for "Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery," the first film in the theatrical series based on the manga by Akihito Tsukushi, has been released. It depicts Riko and her companions making their way to the seventh layer of the Abyss, and also introduces a mysterious new character.
"Made in Abyss" depicts the adventures of a young girl, Riko, and a young robot, Reg, in the Abyss, a mysterious chasm where precious relics lie dormant. The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2017, the second season, "The Golden Land of the Blazing Sun," aired from July to September 2022, and the theatrical film "Dawn of the Deep Soul" was released in January 2020. The original manga series has sold over 22 million copies in total.
The first film in the series, "Made in Abyss: Awakening of Mystery," will be released on October 23rd.
