PLEX has launched the "Vinyl Archives Project," which will revive historical toys, including those from Bandai's archives. The project will feature rare toys that are now almost impossible to obtain in their original condition. As the first release, they will revive the "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger Hurricane Set," a toy from the "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger" series.
A set of five soft vinyl figures of the Goranger team, originally released by Poppy in the 1970s. The set includes Akarenger, Aorenger, Kirenger, Momorenger, and Midorenger, and is designed to closely resemble the original product specifications. It also includes the rare End Ball and Junior Squad member ID card, which are unlikely to exist as original items. Price: 21,780 yen. Pre-orders are being accepted at Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, "Premium Bandai." Shipping is scheduled for October.
The second release will be a reissue of "Mazinger Z, the Robot of Justice," which was originally released by Bandai in the 1970s.
