The third episode of the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers" (Fridays at 10 PM), starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on May 1st, and the final scene shocked viewers.

The drama follows Detective Makoto (Okada) and Medical Examiner Minoru (Sometani) as they investigate heinous crimes that occur daily and pursue the true culprit in the murder of two parents, a case that reached its statute of limitations just two days before the abolition of the statute of limitations.
Tsuda (played by Kazuki Iio), who was suspected of killing Makoto and Minoru's parents, was found, but he was hospitalized with terminal cancer and in a coma. There was a possibility that he might never wake up. Makoto and Minoru bit their lips in frustration at being unable to act even though the person who might be the culprit was right in front of them.
Towards the end of the episode, Makoto receives news that Tsuda has died and rushes to the hospital where he is being treated. There, he finds a key and a note with a phone number written on it among Tsuda's belongings. When Makoto calls the number, the voice on the other end belongs to Karashima Fumi (Sendo Atsuko), the wife of Karashima Sadao (Nagae Hidekazu), the former factory manager of the Karashima Metal Factory where the brothers' father, Sakutaro (Wada Masato), used to work...
