Freelance announcer Aika Kanda updated her Instagram (@aikakanda) on April 19th, commenting on her husband, Yuki Himura of the comedy duo "Banana Man," who announced on the 28th that he would be taking a break from work.
Kanda began by saying, "To everyone who always follows my Instagram," and continued, "As has been announced, my husband will be taking a leave of absence from work for the time being. From now on, I will be heading to work every day feeling energized after seeing my husband off, and coming home looking forward to seeing him on my phone screen."
Kanda wrote, "I make sure to feed him until he's full every day because he loves to eat. This is my source of energy right now. I'll do my best, husband!" She continued, "To everyone who always supports us, and to everyone involved in our work, I apologize for causing you worry and for the trouble we have caused. We would appreciate your continued support for my husband and me."
Himura announced on his agency's official website that "We would like to inform you that Yuki Himura will be taking a break for the time being." He continued, "Since the beginning of this year, I have been feeling unwell frequently, and after consulting with a medical institution, the doctor determined that I need rest. Therefore, for the time being, I will be focusing on resting, prioritizing my physical and mental recovery, and taking time to get in shape."
