"Why did he suddenly abandon me just two months after we promised to marry?" "A week after we broke up, I received a voicemail... What did he want to talk about when we met in person?"
Luna (Ryuto Sakuma) and Ryoko (Aso) race through the streets of Osaka searching for Kazuto (Ryuto Sakuma) to retrieve a "lost item in life" that has been weighing on their minds. They visit shops and companies with the surname "Sato" in search of clues, and their vast list is down to just three places.
Just when they were about to give up, a young man named Kanade (played by Sakuma, in a dual role) who still bore a resemblance to the man from back then appears before them. He, too, seemed concerned about Luna and Ryoko, who were searching for Kazuto.
The wooden house he led her to was filled with the woman who had been by Kazuto's side when he said goodbye to him years ago. What shocking truth, revealed by her lips, transcends the passage of 20 years...?
The drama is a thrilling literary road mystery based on the novel of the same name by mystery writer Rikako Akiyoshi, known for works such as "Snow Flower" and "Absolute Justice." The script is written by Yukako Shimizu, who also wrote the drama "Reversal Orchestra" and the film "Arrogance and Kindness," while the directors are Shunpei Marutani, who wrote the dramas "119 Emergency Call" and "Complete Adultery," and Hiroto Akashi, who wrote "Ikinarikon."
