NHK's new drama series, "Convenience Store Brothers: Tenderness Mojiko Kogane Village Branch," starring Kento Nakajima , will begin airing on April 28th in the network's "Drama 10" slot (NHK General, Tuesdays at 10 PM). This will be Nakajima's first appearance in an NHK drama. He will play Mitsuhiko Shiwa, a diligent convenience store manager who exudes an irresistible charm that captivates people of all ages.
The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Sonoko Machida. It is a heartwarming and mysterious human comedy set in a convenience store in Mojiko, Kitakyushu City. The script is written by Nonji Nemoto, known for his work on NHK's morning drama series " Omusubi " (second Asadora of 2024) and the NHK Drama 10 series " Shijiki Fudosan".
Rena Tanaka plays Hikari Nakao, a part-time employee in her fourth year at "Tenderness Mojiko Koganemura Store,"Fuku Suzuki plays Taro Hirose, a new part-time employee at "Tenderness Mojiko Koganemura Store," and Hiroshi Hiroshi Tachi plays Tatsushige Horinouchi, the founder of "Tenderness." Rina Arashi, Toru Baba, Jun Saito, and Yuki Izumisawa also appear in the film.
In the first episode, customers flock to the Tenderness Mojiko Koganemura store every day, drawn by the store manager, Mitsuhiko Shiwa (played by Nakajima).
