A new book in the "Missing Pieces" series (Rittosha), which allows readers to compare the original magazine publications and comic book versions of Osamu Tezuka's manga, will be released on June 12th. The new book is titled "Osamu Tezuka Missing Pieces Juvenile Works: Ants and Giants" (Rittosha).
This collection features works from the 1960s by Tezuka that can be called "White Tezuka," in contrast to "Black Tezuka," which was primarily aimed at boys and girls.
"The Ant and the Giant" will be published in its original, previously unreleased version for the first time, and the lineup also includes "Hello to the Desk," "Shammy 1000," "Captain Ozma Goes to the Defense Expo," and "My Dream: A Wild Space Trip."
"The Ant and the Giant" is a different version from the Suzuki Publishing edition and the complete works edition, with every page being the original serialized version before any revisions, and even Tezuka's own handwritten lettering reproduced as it was in its first appearance.
