The second episode of the drama series "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, aired on April 21st, and it has been revealed that the average viewership ratings (according to Video Research, Kanto region) were 5.2% for households and 2.8% for individuals.
The drama tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. Takahashi plays two roles: Mitsunori Neo, an IT company president who has achieved great wealth and fame and is called a "charisma of the times," and Hideto Nomoto, the heir to a dry cleaning business. Other cast members in the drama include Anne Nakamura, Ouji Suzuka, Mayu Yokota, Fumiyo Kohinata, and Masachika Ichimura.
In episode 2, IT company president Mitsunori Neo is suddenly reincarnated as Hideto Nomoto, living in a dilapidated shopping district 14 years in the past, causing great chaos. He searches for a way to reclaim his original life, but it is revealed that the Mitsunori of this era also exists, and he realizes that there is no other way than to live as Hideto. However, the shopping district where Hideto lives is on its last legs. It is revealed that a large supermarket run by Mitsunori's rival from his previous life is opening in front of the station. Amidst an atmosphere of despair, Hideto's fighting spirit is ignited, and he sets out to revive the shopping district...and so the story unfolds.
