"Shinjuku Anison Scope," a column by Sho Higuchi, the anime buyer at Tower Records Shinjuku store, known for its extensive selection of anime songs, shares the latest best-selling anime songs and firsthand accounts from the sales floor. The number one item at the store from April 13th to 19th was "WEATHER," the second mini-album by Haru Kaida, a member of the VTuber project "Nijisanji."

Haru Kaida is a VTuber who is a researcher of "magic," engrossed in her research in her mansion, and few people know what she looks like. She has gained popularity, with over 720,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. "WEATHER," which took the top spot, is Haru Kaida's second mini-album and contains six new songs with weather as a theme.
Coming in at second place is the soundtrack for the second season of the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," titled "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 Original Soundtrack." It features music composed by Evan Call. This time, the soundtrack for the first season of the TV anime, "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End End Original Soundtrack," also ranked at seventh place.
Coming in at number 3 is "Ima, Love Live! Mihara-shoku," the 10th single by "Hasunozora Girls' Academy School Idol Club," a school idol group featured in the smartphone app "Link! Like! Love Live!", part of the popular "Love Live!" anime series.
Coming in at number 4 is singer LiSA's 7th album, "LACE UP." This is her first full album in about three years, and it includes "Zankoku na Yoru Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 - Akaza's Return," "REALiZE," the Japanese theme song for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," as well as new songs.
In fifth place was "Kousenka / Accelerate," the 12th single by "Vivid BAD SQUAD," a unit appearing in the smartphone game "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku (ProSekai)." In sixth place was "Nintendo Switch Pokemon LEGENDS Z-A + M-Dimensional Rush Super Music Complete," an album containing songs from the games "Pokemon LEGENDS ZA" and "Pokemon LEGENDS ZA M-Dimensional Rush." In ninth place was "Tsukimura Temari 3rd Single 'Ittai Itsukara'," the 3rd single by Tsukimura Temari, a character appearing in the smartphone app "Gakuen Idolmaster (Gakumasu)."

Among anime songs, he particularly enjoys character songs, especially those related to idol anime. His anthem is "Up! 10sion Pleeeeeeeeease!" from "THE IDOLM@STER Million Live!".
