The synopsis and still images for the second episode of the TV Asahi drama series "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, have been released. The episode will air on April 21st.
Mitsunori Neo (played by Takahashi), president of the emerging IT company "NEOXIS," is reincarnated as Hideto Nomoto, living in the year 2012. Confused, he desperately tries to understand the situation and searches for a way to reclaim his original life as Mitsunori, but when he learns that the Mitsunori of this era also exists, he realizes that he has no choice but to live as Hideto.
When Hideto looked at the circumstances he found himself in, the shopping street was deserted, and the dry cleaning shop run by Hideto and his father, Hideji Nomoto (Fumiyo Kohinata), was heavily in debt. But Hideji and the people of the shopping street did nothing but party and make merry from midday. Unable to bear this situation any longer, Hideto decided to try and revitalize the shopping street, but just then he heard from Sarasa (Anne Nakamura) that a large supermarket was going to be built in front of the station. Moreover, the supermarket was to be run by the top company in the industry, whose president was Hitoshi Ichimanda (Yoshiyuki Tsubokura), the man that Mitsumasa had tried to overthrow before his reincarnation.
While the people in the shopping district had given up hope of winning, Hideto's fighting spirit was ignited, and he declared, "I'll do it! Now that I've decided, I'll definitely do it!" and set out to revive the shopping district...
The drama tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. The script is written by Hiroshi Hashimoto, who has also written dramas such as "The Grand Family" (TBS), "Job Hunting Family: It'll Surely Work Out," "Adult High School," and "Sky Castle" (all on TV Asahi).
