"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how an ordinary citizen becomes a star. The theme song is "A Boat Full of Happiness," written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the ninth episode, the radio star is starting to gain momentum, but Matsumoto (Masahiro Kohmoto) demands more laughs. So Tada (Ooyagi) starts telling a series of his own jokes during the show, but they fall flat. The next day, Tada is absent from the radio show without notice. Matsumoto asks Rikuto (Kai) to help out with the radio show in his place, but Rikuto stubbornly refuses.
Nishikawa (Kiyohiko Shibukawa) begins to tell Kanade (Fukuchi) and Matsumoto that the reason for their strong refusal is related to what happened at the evacuation center.
