The synopsis for the second episode (airing April 19th) of the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT" (Sundays at 9 PM), starring actor Shinichi Tsutsumi, has been released.
Set against the backdrop of wheelchair rugby, a parasport, the story follows Wutetsu Fumito, a genius astrophysicist played by Tsutsumi, as he searches for answers to difficult problems facing his underdog team. Through genuine emotional and physical challenges, he learns the importance of friendship and family in this story of bonds and redemption. This is a completely original story, with the script written by Tomoki Kanazawa, who has worked on Netflix dramas such as "Sanctuary" and the TV series "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?".

Go Tetsu (Shinichi Tsutsumi), an astrophysicist who gleefully tackles the extremely difficult task of making the Bulls the best team in Japan, makes a proposal to the team. He proposes that the "serious" team, led by Ryo (Yuki Yamada), who practices diligently, be played against the "recreational" team, led by Bando (Keitatsu Koshikawa), who wants to have fun in a fun, recreational way. If Go Tetsu can lead the "recreational" team to victory, he will become the assistant coach. Reporter Hitoka (Kasumi Arimura) becomes interested in Go Tetsu as he devises strategies by likening the players to the world of astronomy.
Around that time, Ryo receives an offer from Kunimi (Ken Yasuda) of Sharkhead, and he is conflicted. If he joins the formidable Shark, he will have the opportunity to compete on the world stage, but Ryo has a strong grudge against Kunimi.
Meanwhile, Gotetsu accompanies coach Hino (Michiko Kichise) to the home of Keijiro (Kyohei Honda), who is confined to a wheelchair. His father, Reiji (Yasuki Okayasu), and mother, Miyuki (Yoko Kondo), ask him to let Keijiro join the Bulls, but Gotetsu sharply points out the parents' problems...
