It has been revealed that a brand new anime series, "Date A Live A Date A Live F Last Date," based on the popular light novel from Fujimi Fantasia Bunko (KADOKAWA), is in production. The new series will see Shido Itsuka and his friends entering their final battle. A teaser visual featuring Tohka Yatogami in a wedding dress and a teaser PV featuring all 12 spirits have been released. The new series will be directed by Junji Nishimura, with animation production by Fugaku.
Original author Koushi Tachibana commented, "It's been a year since the announcement of the new project. We've kept you waiting for a very long time. The new ' Date A Live' anime is starting!!! The title is intriguing and the teaser visual is intriguing. Who is Tohka in this wedding dress...!? We hope you'll look forward to further updates. The other day, ' Date A Live' celebrated its 15th anniversary. 15 years means that babies born when the first volume was released are now in their third year of middle school. Those who were in their third year of middle school back then are now 30 years old. The author, who was 24 years old back then, is now... okay, let's stop there! It is a great honor and a precious thing that the series has continued for such a long time and that we can see new developments. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has loved this work for so long. Please look forward to ' Date A Live F Last Date'!"
Tsunako, who is in charge of the illustrations for the original work, said, "The new ' Date A Live' anime has finally been announced! Congratulations and thank you! Even after the series ended, there have been many spin-offs and collaborations, but now there's another new anime project! I'm surprised and really happy. For this new anime, I designed special costumes for the 12 spirits! I thought it was quite a challenge to make each one a different design to bring out their individuality... Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing them in the animation. Thank you to everyone who has been spending time with the characters all along, and to everyone who has recently come to know them. Please look forward to further updates!!"
Nobunaga Shimazaki, who plays Shido Itsuka, commented, "Congratulations on the decision to produce a new ' Date A Live' anime! More than 10 years have passed since I first met Shido, and I am truly happy to have been able to continue walking this long road together. I feel that both Shido and I have grown considerably compared to when we first met, but we will not forget our original intentions and will fight to the end with the burning passion in our hearts. We hope you will continue to support Shido and the others!"
Marina Inoue, who plays Tohka Yatogami, said, "Congratulations on the decision to produce a new ' Date A Live' anime! It had been announced that something would be done, but we weren't told what it would be, so we're just incredibly happy. That being said, now that we've come this far, we have to see it through to the end, right?? I believe in it! I'll keep my voice warm and eagerly awaiting the day when I can play Tohka again. And once again, congratulations on the day Tohka became Tohka!"
