The "Kamen Rider 55th Anniversary Announcement Event," which announced future developments and new projects for the "Kamen Rider" series, which celebrates its 55th anniversary this year, was held in Tokyo on April 3rd, and Toei announced three new Kamen Rider labels.
To commemorate its 55th anniversary and aim for further growth of the Kamen Rider brand, three new labels will be launched, each with a clearly defined artistic style and target audience.
The first is "THE KAMENRIDER CHRONICLE." This label deals with works based on past Kamen Rider series, and it was explained that "the concept is that even people who haven't seen the TV series can enjoy just by watching this one work, not just existing fans." The first work will be "Agito - Superpower War," the latest theatrical film of "Kamen Rider Agito" (2001-02), which will be released on April 29th, and it was also revealed that a new movie of "Kamen Rider Den-O" (2007-08) is in production as the second work.
The second is "THE KAMENRIDER ANIMATED." This label will handle anime adaptations of Kamen Rider, and will "create various works using methods that can only be expressed through animation. We will create new Kamen Riders in collaboration with partner companies. Our target is the world, and we aim to expand the number of Kamen Rider fans around the world as the 'ultimate card' for the global expansion of Kamen Rider. We will freely develop Kamen Riders, whether original or from past works."
The third project is "THE KAMENRIDER PREMIUM," which will be a major Kamen Rider movie with a special feel. Similar to "ANIMATED," it is aimed at the overseas market, and it was revealed that "a project is currently in the works to be released sometime in 2028."
Furthermore, the TV series' annual "summer movie" will continue.
