It has been announced that the TV anime "Romelia Chronicles," based on the light novel by Ryo Ariyama which originated on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," will air for two seasons in 2026. It has also been announced that Yuya Hirose will play Henri, Romelia's former fiancé; Sayaka Sembongi will play Elisabeth, the saint who traveled with Romelia; Mariya Ise will play Catherine, the witch who also traveled with Romelia; and Asaka will play Ryoki, the female swordswoman.
The second teaser visual, featuring Romelia looking straight ahead with Henri, Elisabeth, Ekaterina, and Ryoki standing behind her, has been released on the official website. The first chapter, "The First Step," written by the original author, Ariyama, is also available.
The story is a post-war tale in which the protagonist, Romelia, who defeats the Demon King, is immediately dumped by the prince and sets out to create a new world. The comic adaptation has also gained popularity, with the series selling over 550,000 copies in total.
