NHK's program "Night of Extreme Modification," where Japan's top-class engineers compete with their extreme ideas and techniques, will air a "Kitchen Utensil Penalty Shootout" on NHK General at 7:30 PM on March 20th. This will be the world's first penalty shootout using kitchen utensils.
This time, we're going to give kitchenware a radical makeover. The refrigerator will become the kicker, kicking the ball, while 14 frying pans and a kitchen rack will become the goalkeeper.
Facing off in a penalty shootout are "Hitachi Construction Machinery," a global manufacturer of construction equipment, and "A-Ishin," a giant in the automotive parts industry. Hitachi aims for precision and targets the corners of the goal, while A-Ishin tries to unleash high-speed shots. With two teams having different ideals for the shot, what kind of battle will unfold...?
The program will be narrated by Sachiko Kojima. Hikaru Ijuin, Takeshi Yano, and Keisuke Nagafuji will also appear.
