A new season of the TV anime "Oshiri Tantei" (Butt Detective), based on the picture book by Troll, will begin airing on NHK E-tele every Saturday at 9:00 AM starting April 4th. The April 4th episode will feature an anime adaptation of the spin-off manga "Oshiri Dandy The Oshiri Tantei," depicting the younger days of Oshiri Dandy, the adventurer and father of Oshiri Tantei Tantei. It has also been announced that Satoshi Hino will voice the young Oshiri Dandy, Oshiri Dandy (Young), and Mikako Komatsu will voice Hehe, Oshiri Dandy (Young)'s partner.
Hino commented, "I would like to enjoy the adventure together with the younger Dandy as we explore the important history of how 'Oshiri Dandy' has become the epitome of Dandy. We will do our best to make it exciting so that all the children who are fans of ' Oshiri Tantei' will be smiling, so please enjoy the broadcast!"
Komatsu said, "I'm so happy to be able to jump into the world of ' Oshiri Tantei' that I always watch with my child. I get so engrossed in searching for butts every time (laughs). Hehe is always getting dragged around by Young Dandy and having a hard time, but he's a really serious and enthusiastic partner. I'm sure everyone will be groaning 'Heh!' along with Oshiri Dandy (Young) and Hehe, let's enjoy the adventure and solving mysteries!"
A new visual has been released, depicting Oshiri Tantei and Brown in a slightly different, more elegant style, sitting on chairs and gazing up at space. On the planets floating in space are Oshiri Tantei 's familiar friends and phantom thieves, and Oshiri Dandy (Young) can also be seen.
The visual motif is based on " Oshiri Tantei File 12: Oshiri Tantei Kaitou U's Lost Item," a prequel to the animated film " Oshiri Tantei : Star and Moon" released last year. In the new story, Oshiri Tantei gets closer to uncovering the secrets hidden in a request from Kaitou U, and once again confronts the mysterious organization, Kaitou Academy.
