An event called "Traitor Summit" for the TBS Sunday drama "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm), starring Ryohei Suzuki, was held in Tokyo on March 17th. Suzuki, who plays the lead role, Erika Toda, who plays Ichika, and Ren Nagase of the popular group "King & Prince," who plays Fuyuhashi, were among those in attendance.
In episode 8, which aired on March 15th, it was revealed that Ichika, played by Toda, is a reboot of Natsumi. Speaking to reporters before the event, Toda expressed her relief at finally being able to talk about it, saying, "I'm happy that I can finally convey this in my own words, including at events like this. It was difficult to find the right balance of how much to hint at (that I'm Natsumi), so I was careful not to reveal too much of Natsumi."
Suzuki, who was so impressed by Toda's acting, said, "When I told the scriptwriter, Kuroiwa (Tsutomu), that playing both Gido and Hayase was complicated and overwhelming, he said, 'It's easier than playing Ichika,' and that motivated me to do my best."
Nagase proudly stated that playing Fuyuhashi was a new challenge for him, saying, "People I haven't seen in a while get scared of me. They ask things like, 'You're not going to hit me today, are you?' It's the first time I've played a character with a violent side."
The event, which attracted 1200 people, featured appearances by Hiroshi Yazaki, who plays Takumi; Takeya Tsukaji of the comedy duo "Drunk Dragon," who plays Kikuchi, a subordinate of Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura); and Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who wrote the script.
